The Asset Management (AM) Trading Engineering team is responsible for building and supporting a central function of the Asset and Wealth Management Division (AWM). The business manages money for large institutional investors and runs several mutual funds, hedge funds and ETFs across a broad spectrum of sophisticated securities and geographies. AM has a global presence with key offices in New York, London, The Hague, Tokyo, Singapore and Bengaluru.
Role Description
As an engineer in the AM Trading Engineering team, you will work directly with traders, portfolio managers, desk heads, middle and back‑office teams, and core engineering groups to digitize and automate trading flows as part of the AM business growth strategy.
Responsibilities
* Gain knowledge of the end‑to‑end lifecycle for Trade Execution
* Full‑stack development with React, Java, object caches, Kafka, AWS, NoSQL data sources, and event‑driven processes
* Participate in the design, development, testing, rollout, and support of our systems
* Collaborate with business users and developers globally
* Work in a highly innovative technical team with ample opportunity to improve and grow your technical skills
Qualifications
* Fluency in Java; other object‑oriented languages are a plus
* Experience with test‑driven development (e.g., JUnit, JBehave)
* Experience with microservice‑based architecture
* Experience with MongoDB, Gemfire, or other NoSQL databases is a plus
* Financial knowledge, trading systems, and financial data flows is a plus
* Experience with electronic trading/FIX is a plus
