We provide a comprehensive learning package featuring a 4 week long, full time Healthcare Support Worker Academy at the start of your employment with the Trust. We are passionate about providing the very best support for our staff wishing to develop a career in the health sector. Opportunities are available for further education to gain additional qualifications to enable career progression if desired.
We have a variety of shift patterns that cover our 24/7 service.
Our Community Team cover a wide geographical area, including some remote communities so it is essential that you haveaccess to a vehicle and the ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day.

You must be able to commit to a compulsory four week, full time Healthcare Support Worker programme at the start of your employment with the Trust.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 2 Healthcare Support worker, you will work with our supportive multi-disciplinary team who are dedicated to maintaining high standards and going the extra mile for our patients.
4. As a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker, you would be expected to undertake phlebotomy, record vital signs and undertake simple wound care.
Our Community based team provides nursing care for patients in their own homes. The main duties for this role include:

6. Catheter and Bowel care,
7. Palliative and end of life care,
8. Administration of medication
Training and support are provided and once competent you would visit patients independently. Support is always available from the registered nurse.
