Position Overview:

Optimasiscurrently searching forahighly driven Sourcing Specialistwhohasstrong procurement and analytical experience combined with the vision to create short, mid, and long-term sourcing solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing regional sourcing and supplier strategies and identifying and executing cost savings programs. This individual must be a strong winner who can focus on vision and strategies.

A candidate for this position must be a creative problem-solver who thrives ina dynamic environment, an analytical thinker who can make competent decisions and solve problems based on relevant knowledge and experience, and a problem-solver who can communicate effectively.

This role reports directly to theSenior Regional Sourcing Manager – UK.

Main responsibilities:

1. Project Management—Participate in sourcing projects and initiatives by working closely with key stakeholders.Identify stakeholder expectations and ensure that the sourcing project objectives, scope, and deliverables meet them and that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
2. Communication Skills– Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skillsand aninfluencerin major strategic decisionsare a must.The ability to presentto senior management, build relationships, and become aninfluencerin major strategic decisionsiscritical to this position.
3. Negotiations– Strong negotiation skills are essential in this role.
4. Information Resource– Must provide stakeholders with relevant and timely market trends and analyses, suchascommodityand currency trends.
5. Technical Skills—A thorough understanding of manufacturing practices and the ability to understand product specifications and features are essential to success in this position.
6. Analytical Skills– Enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and creative, effective solutions
7. Create and implement major material price movement strategy methodology, including hedging, forward buying, and cost protection.
8. Create and establish external benchmark analysis including gap analysis and required actions to achieve functional competitive advantage.
9. Design and implement strategies to rationalize the supplier base and maximize the value of spending.
10. Partner with Quality to drive continuous improvement.
11. Implement programs to drive total cost of acquisition improvement activities to enhance margins and improve service levels
12. Travel may be required
13. Supporting the wider regional Teams with projects, identifying sources for new or existing products
14. Supporting our Commercial and Bid team with identifying the best source to drive new business Growth within the region
15. Other relevant tasks and duties, as required

Skills and Qualificationsrequired:

23. Demonstrated project management experience.
24. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
25. Provenexperience in a strategic sourcing role& recent in-depth knowledge of the fastener industry
26. Experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams preferred
27. Sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of simultaneous projects.
28. Solid analytical skills to understand market dynamics and business requirements.
29. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to convey ideas and processes.
30. Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results.
31. Ability to complete work assignments accurately and quickly; ability to manage more than one initiative at once.
32. Ability to perform analysis and interpret data into actionable steps.
33. Ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally
34. Focused on results – willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right

38. Ability to see the “big picture” and use quantitative and qualitative data to create strategies that moveOptimasforward.
39. Multilingual skills would beadvantageous
40. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and prior experience utilizing Business Intelligence tools is a plus.
