The Role
We need your help to inspire and help our busy operational teams execute their work consistently, using “best in class” health and safety practices.
We’ll leave you to decide how best to do this, although we know that you won’t be standing on the sidelines holding a clipboard and grimacing.
We’ll support and encourage your naturally inquisitive nature as you seek to understand the operational challenges your colleagues face on site.
We’ll be looking for practical H&S solutions and helpful advice, delivered in a style that motivates your audience and we’ll encourage you to create communication strategies, that resonate and inspire from in-person conversation to videos and podcasts.
Here are just some of the activities you’ll be getting involved with...
1. Managing and executing site inspections
2. Advising on and setting operational team safety objectives
3. Supporting and undertaking investigations into accidents and incidents
4. Mentoring junior health and safety professionals
5. Contributing to new tenders and bids
6. Assessing external environments for safe working
7. Identifying any gaps in the H&S management system; recommending improvements
8. Developing and implementing new initiatives or sharing best practices with colleagues
9. Advising on and communicating new working practices in line with any new legislative requirements or best practice
10. Carrying out ABC tours (Attitude, Behaviour and Culture)
11. Actively encouraging Safety Observations and Hazard Reporting
We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate …
