Deputy Head of A Levels With Sociology Teaching
We are looking for a Deputy Head of Department for our Social Sciences A-Level curriculum who is motivated, inspiring and has an innovative approach to teaching and learning. Standard responsibilities
You will lead a very strong team of professional teachers across the Social Sciences A-Level department in the sixth form centre.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the quality improvement of your area, while inspiring your team to deliver an engaging curriculum and share good practice wherever possible.
You will develop links with institutions, employers and professionals, and facilitate new initiatives to increase skills development and work‑experience opportunities for all learners in the department.
What you’ll need
* Enthusiasm, resilience and a highly motivated approach to Social Sciences with recent teaching and leadership experience in Sociology.
* Outstanding achievement and high‑grade outcomes.
* Detailed knowledge of current Social Sciences developments and the future landscape of their academic qualifications.
* A relevant degree or equivalent, a teaching qualification and experience of internal moderation and rigorous standardisation of academic programmes/provision.
