Located in a beautiful location in the Canterbury region, the stunning Fable Terrace Downs Resort boasts a championship 18-hole golf course designed by Sid Puddicombe, as well as 25 deluxe 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom Villas.
This beautiful property is looking for a dedicated and experienced Gardener to maintain the beautiful gardens and outdoor areas of the resort. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working outdoors in a scenic environment.
Due to the large size of the property, you will need a Full Driver’s License to move around the Resort.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general gardening duties across the resort grounds, including planting, pruning, weeding, and lawn care
Maintain the exterior appearance of all resort properties, ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment
Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
Monitor plant health and apply treatments as needed
Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and improvements
Professionally interact with guests on the ground
Perform any other duties within the employee’s range of competence as required by management.
Skills and Requirements:
Strong knowledge of plant care, garden maintenance, and outdoor aesthetics
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Flexibility to work rostered shifts (around 3 days per week or more depending on weather conditions)
Punctual, organised and trustworthy
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
A Full driver’s license is essential
