Otis is currently recruiting for a Technician to work across the midlands area.
This role ensures the quality of PPM delivered, carrying out quality audits, assisting with technical issues onsite to ensure unit availability across the estate which is a key driver for success on contract. In addition, this role assists with the interface between client and their Project Works consultants overseeing project plans, method statements, attending site meetings and sign off meetings.
As a Technician, you will:
1. Provide technical support on site to other test engineers with a view to up-skilling all test engineers, auditing test and EN81 (compliance) handover paperwork
2. Undertake client liaison during the testing of large multi-unit sites and attend commissioning meetings as and when required, assisting with new bids when there are special technical requirements
3. Carry out quality readings on completion of a project, providing a seamless handover from New Equipment to Service and supporting service on technical issues on site during the Quality Operating Period and on an ad-hoc basis
To be successful in this role you will have:
4. Experience of Lift Industry Testing with Qualifications to NVQ4 equivalent
5. Good knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles such as Relevant Lift Codes i.e. EN81 Part 2 etc.
6. IT Literacy with MS Office, including Excel
