The Opportunity

12-month fixed-term contract opportunity available in Melbourne for a Clinical Specialist. Working alongside Product Specialists, you are primarily responsible for providing technical support in an operating theatre environment to our hospital-based customers across our Trauma and CMF product portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

* Attending surgical procedures and providing expert technical support to Orthopaedic Surgeons and Nursing staff in the correct and safe use of products
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and providing in-service training to Registrars, Nursing staff etc.
* Optimising opportunities by passing on leads to the Sales Team and providing product demo as required
* Maintaining strong product knowledge through ongoing training and driving clinical excellence through professional and exceptional customer experience


About You

* Tertiary qualification in a health-related field (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Chiropractic etc.) and experience providing clinical support in-theatre during orthopaedic surgeries is highly regarded
* Confidence to work effectively under pressure in an operating theatre environment and the ability to work out-of-hours on a rotating on-call roster
* Strong communication, presentation and customer service skills
* Self-starter who is results driven and solutions focused
* Autonomous and able to work as part of a team, is organised with good time management skills

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.
