Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining effective communication at all times.
* Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to support their individual development plans.
* Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety compliance.
* Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members, demonstrating strong leadership skills within the nursery setting.
* Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma).
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Demonstrated management and leadership abilities to support the nursery team effectively.
* A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel if required for nursery activities or outings.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in early childhood education.
