Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Criminal Paralegal to join our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have completed the Bar course/LPC/SQE and are eager to gain hands-on experience in criminal law.
You will work closely with solicitors and barristers, supporting them throughout case preparation, managing client relations, and ensuring smooth trial proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct legal research on criminal law matters and case precedents
* Draft legal documents, witness statements, and court bundles
* Assist with trial preparation and evidence review
* Liaise with clients, police, courts, and other legal stakeholders
* Organise and manage case files, both digital and physical
* Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents
* Assist with scheduling, witness coordination, and courtroom preparation
Essential Requirements
* Completion of the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC)/LPC or equivalent
* Strong interest and foundational knowledge in criminal law
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems (LEAP)
* Previous experience in a criminal law setting is advantageous but not essential
* Driving Licence and Car (Preferable)
