PCN Manager and Digital and Transformation Lead
Icknield Primary Care Network (PCN), are looking for an experienced healthcare manager to support the effective delivery and strategic transformation of services across the PCN. This position is offered on a full-time, fixed term contract until March 2026 in line with Network Contract Enhanced Service specification (DES). The role can be based from home with travel to the PCN practices, but this will need to be discussed at interview.
This is a flexible and collaborative role, working in close partnership with the clinical directors, practice leads and wider system stakeholders. The individual will play a key role in driving innovation, service integration, and continuous improvement within general practice, in accordance with the requirements of the Network Contract DES and aligned with our local strategic priorities.
Main duties of the job
* Leading the coordination and delivery of existing and new PCN projects, including those linked to the DES, IIF and Enhanced Access Service
* Supporting workforce planning and management of ARRS roles
* Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the PCN including governance, compliance, and contract management
* Maintaining a good knowledge of key policies from relevant government departments and agencies, and support PCN staff to understand and interpret these locally
* Overseeing budgets and funding streams related to PCN activity
* Preparing financial reports in line with PCN objectives
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with local GP practices, Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and other stakeholders.

Icknield PCN is a well-established and dynamic PCN covering a population of over 58,500 patients registered with our 5 member Practices in Letchworth, Baldock and Ashwell (North Hertfordshire).

* Clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field
* Management or leadership qualification (e.g., ILM, NVQ, PRINCE2)
* Project management training
Experience
* Significant experience in a management or coordination role, ideally in primary care
* Experience of working across multiple organisations or practices
* Experience of successfully delivering change and improvement programmes
* Budget management and financial reporting experience
* Experience of leading or supporting teams Experience of workforce planning or HR processes
* Good understanding of the structure and priorities of the NHS, primary care, and integrated care systems
* Experience of working in a PCN or with general practice
* Experience of contract or service-level agreement management
