The Role As Commercial Property Solicitor, you will assist and build your own caseload in a thriving Commercial Property Department, taking instructions on new enquiries and handling cases autonomously as well as assisting the commercial team on larger transactional matters. Your key responsibilities will include: Commercial Property Transactions: Handling Commercial Property Sales and Purchases acting for private individuals, companies, partnerships, and pension funds Managing transactions involving bare land, hotels, high street buildings, shopping complexes, restaurants, agricultural property, and other commercial premises Handling Pension Fund Acquisitions and Disposals Landlord and Tenant: Managing Commercial Landlord and Tenant matters including Lease Grants, Lease Renewals, Assignments, and Underlettings Advising on Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and ancillary matters surrounding Lease Grants and Renewals Development and Land: Handling Overage and Commercial Sales of Land (Whole and Part) for development purposes Corporate Support: Assisting with due diligence on corporate transactional work involving commercial property matters Business Development: Building relationships with clients and internal and external contacts on behalf of the team Networking and nurturing local connections to develop the practice Case Management: Managing key stages of transactional workflow from instruction through to completion Preparing contracts, correspondence, and legal documents using Case Management systems including Practical Law About You Essential Requirements: Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with current practising certificate and 3-5 years' PQE in Commercial Property Proven track record handling a commercial property caseload with focus on Commercial Property Sales and Purchases and Commercial Lease work Experience acting for private individuals, companies, partnerships, and pension funds on commercial property transactions Experience handling Commercial Landlord and Tenant matters including Lease Grants, Renewals, Assignments, and Underlettings with knowledge of LTA 1954 Proficient with key stages of transactional workflow, handling transactions from start to completion Experience with Overage and Commercial Sales of Land for development Ability to work autonomously and manage own caseload whilst working as part of a team on larger transactions Strong academic record with excellent IT skills and proficiency using Case Management systems and Practical Law Excellent organisation, presentation, and communication skills Good connections with desire to network and build local relationships Reliable and diligent with strong attention to detail, self-motivated with 'can do' attitude and positive approach to working under pressure Desirable: Experience assisting with due diligence on corporate transactional work Experience handling Pension Fund Acquisitions and Disposals Business development experience or proven track record generating new work What's On Offer Competitive salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) Opportunity to build your own caseload in a thriving Commercial Property Department Career progression with an award-winning firm enjoying continuous growth Company pension Generous holiday allowance Additional day's leave for your birthday each year Death in service policy (4 times salary) How to Apply If you're a Commercial Property Solicitor with 3-5 years' PQE looking to build your career with an award-winning firm, we'd love to hear from you.
