We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Bricklaying at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College.
The role requires the ability to deliver teaching across the full range of the department’s provision. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Brickwork and be able to plan and use a variety of effective teaching and learning techniques.
Although you may be a construction professional looking for your first teaching role, you should hold or be willing to obtain a relevant teaching qualification such as DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
Responsibilities
* Write schemes of work, lesson plans and review plans.
* Manage the formal assessment process, including maintaining all assessment records.
* Support learners throughout their programme and help them achieve specific qualification aims.
* Devise and implement a learning and assessment plan for each individual learner.
* Provide tutorial and pastoral support to learners.
Qualifications
* Possess or be willing to work towards a teaching and assessing qualification.
* Have experience meeting the minimum industry standards required for teaching, with recent work experience in the relevant industry.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the subject or vocational area.
* Possess work‑based learning experience.
