Overview
Join to apply for the Admin Support Assistant role at Midnight Mixtape. This role will sit within Aberdeenshire Council’s Children’s Services Team with the primary purpose of delivering efficient and effective, customer-focused support. The post holder will work independently or as part of a diverse team to maintain service delivery to a high standard. Initially, training will focus on supporting the fostering team, offering the successful candidate a chance to build specialist knowledge and skills in this area. As skills and knowledge grow, the candidate will receive further training and experience across other domains within Children’s Services, broadening professional expertise and impact.
The role offers hybrid working with flexible arrangements to support work-life balance; specifics regarding location, hours, and technology support will be discussed at interview to suit the service and the successful candidate. There is a responsibility to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation. The post is fixed term for a period not exceeding 30/09/2026.

Key Responsibilities
* Customer Service Excellence: Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing courteous, prompt, and accurate responses while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
* Children’s Services Team Support: Undertake training, learn processes, statutory requirements and best practices. Support administrative and operational functions to ensure smooth service delivery to children and families.
* Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work in partnership with colleagues across Children’s Services and share information appropriately.
* Process Adherence and Efficiency: Follow guidelines and statutory processes with precision, maintain accurate records and documentation, prioritise tasks, and escalate concerns as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in administrative roles within public sector, charitable, or private organisations
* Customer service roles requiring strong interpersonal skills
* Experience working with children, families, or vulnerable groups
* Involvement in process-driven environments where accuracy and compliance are critical
