Are you an organised and efficient team worker with a passion for delivering a first class service for patient outcomes and colleagues to work in? This is an exciting time to work in NHS Dumfries and Galloway as we work towards expanding on our Pharmacy Technician led cold chain service.
Our Vaccine and Cold Chain team delivers vaccines to the hospitals, community sites and vaccine centres across Dumfries and Galloway. We are looking to recruit a Senior Pharmacy Support Worker to cover maternity leave in our small team situated within the pharmacy department in DGRI. The role includes ward visits, handling pharmacy queries, vaccine order dispensing, fridge audits, temperature breach investigation and training of pharmacy support workers. You will visit community sites to audit cold chain environments and so must be able to travel independently.
This role requires a daily working pattern, but a split post could be considered for the right applicant/s.
The pharmacy opens 7 days a week and you will be required to participate in a weekend and bank holiday rota.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
