German Copywriters - Hybrid - London
If you've spent your career writing and editing for German-speaking audiences and you've ever thought about what it would look like to do that across a product, a platform, and a growing set of global markets this is worth reading.
A fast-scaling UK consumer fintech is expanding into European markets and needs someone who can make sure everything they publish in those markets genuinely resonates not just someone who speaks the language, but someone who understands how to write for an audience.
As such they are hiring a Content Localization Manager. Now if you've got this far, I should point out, you don't need a localisation title on your CV. You need fluent German and the copy instincts to match.
The opportunity
This business already partners with some of the world's biggest brands. Now they're pushing hard into Germany and beyond, and they need someone to own how their product and marketing content lands in those markets.
That means reviewing and adapting app pages, website copy, marketing materials, and co-branded partner content making sure everything is not just translated but genuinely correct for the market. You'll work closely with product and marketing teams daily, sitting right at the intersection of both.
It's a varied role with real breadth. One day you're in Figma with the product team working through app UX copy. The next you're adapting a campaign for a global brand into something that works for a German audience.
What you'll own
* Localisation and adaptation of app, website, and marketing content for European markets
* Quality control across every touchpoint tone, cultural relevance, accuracy
* UX copy in Figma alongside the product team
* Adapting co-branded partner content for each market
* Post-launch reviews to ensure content is performing as it should
Who this is for
You are a strong writer who happens to be fluent in German. You've spent your career caring deeply about how things are phrased not just whether they're correct, but whether they're right. You know that content in Germany carries different expectations than it does elsewhere, and you know how to meet those expectations without losing the brand voice.
You've come from a content, copywriting, or editorial background probably in tech, fintech, or a consumer-facing business that took its writing seriously. You haven't necessarily worked in localisation before, but the skills transfer directly and you can see exactly how.
Any French ability is a bonus. The roadmap goes further than Germany.
The background we're looking for
* Fluent German, native or near-native level (French in addition to German is a +)
* Strong copywriting or content background, ideally in tech, fintech, or a consumer app environment
* An editorial eye comfortable writing, editing, and quality-checking across different content types
* Used to working closely with product and marketing teams
* Comfortable in Figma or similar design tools
* No prior localization title required
The package
* Base salary + equity
* Hybrid, London
* Benefits shared during the process
