Diagnostic / General Master Vehicle Technician Needed in Manchester:
Location: Manchester
Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off – Flexible Schedule
Salary: Up to £35,000 basic + OTE exceeding £40,000
We’re recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading car supermarket groups, now looking for an experienced Diagnostic / General Master Vehicle Technician to join their team. Key Responsibilities for the Diagnostic / General Master Vehicle Technician:
1. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of vehicles, including hybrid and electric models.
2. Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify issues efficiently and accurately.
3. Carry out thorough vehicle inspections, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
4. Complete detailed service records and communicate findings clearly with colleagues and customers.
5. Keep up to date with the latest diagnostic technologies and repair techniques through regular training.
What We’re Looking For in a Diagnostic / General Master Vehicle Technician:
6. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
7. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience, with both mechanical and electrical knowledge.
8. Experience with hybrid and EV systems – IMI EV/Hybrid qualification highly desirable.
9. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong teamwork skills.
10. Full UK driving licence.
