As a Maintenance Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the service facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Working alongside an established team, you will handle all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Maintenance Caretaker, you will be:
* Assisting with maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
* Utilising good DIY skills to maintain safety for service users.
* Conducting regular checks and maintenance.
* Supporting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
* Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects.
* Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
* Coordinating and supporting contractors on site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.
* Maintaining the perimeter fencing around boundaries.
* Facilitating gardening groups with patients.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Comply with systems and procedures.
* Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
* Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure high-quality service.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Location: Furness Road, Workington, Cumbria, CA14 3PD
You will be working at Gregory House, a Learning Disability and Autism service supporting 22 adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs.
The service provides a specialist environment with enhanced support to care for individuals with challenging behaviors and high support needs, aiming to enable independence and a good quality of life.
