Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service periods, ensuring efficient workflow.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and quality control.
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Contribute to menu development by providing input on seasonal dishes and specials.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
* Support other kitchen roles as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food production techniques.
* Previous supervisory or team management experience is preferred.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
