We have ambitious plans to acquire a minimum of 12 new sites per annum and are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience from a Land Agency or Developer to join our innovative and talented London and South East Division team.
You will have at least 2 years of proven experience in identifying and acquiring land and developmental opportunities, demonstrating skills in land acquisition negotiation, contract progression, and report presentation.
The role will focus on acquiring land across Kent, East and Mid Sussex, and Surrey. Your geographical knowledge of this area and its key contacts will be fundamental to your success. Be ready to tackle land purchasing in a new sector of the later living market with an entrepreneurial spirit and a dynamic approach.

Becoming our Land Buyer
The retirement sector is continuously growing and evolving to meet customer needs. Working with a well-established and supportive Land team and reporting to the Divisional Land Director, the post-holder will be responsible for acquiring sites as outlined in the land purchase programme, supporting the delivery of key business performance targets.
Managing internal stakeholders and external consultants will be crucial to facilitate smooth and timely development project delivery until construction begins.
While based out of our Hatfield office, we embrace a hybrid working model, typically requiring 1 to 2 days a week in the office, with the remainder working remotely and outsourcing land acquisition tasks.
Your Attributes
You will have:
* A 2:2-degree (or above) in BSc (Hons) Property Development and Planning, BSc (Hons) Real Estate, BSc (Hons) Geography, or similar
* Experience in site acquisition within commercial, corporate, or agency sectors (not necessarily residential)
* Financial acumen, negotiation, and cost management skills
* Technical and design development proficiency
* Experience managing planning applications is desirable but not essential
* A full driver’s license is required as driving is an essential part of the role
