The CorsoCare Personal Care Director is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of administrative, clinical, and resident care services within a senior living community environment.


Required Experience

* Prior supervisory experience required.
* Compassionate towards the senior population.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Primary Responsibilities

* Support our culture – our pillars and 1440.
* Manage all Wellness Staff (all shifts) to provide compassionate and competent care for residents.
* Implement and coordinate all services for residents admitted to the community.
* Perform quarterly evaluations and ongoing assessments of residents.
* Set measurable goals and outcomes for residents based on evaluations.
* Make necessary changes to service plans.
* Oversee direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Personal Care Department.
* Supervise staff in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
* Assist staff with interpretation of standards.
* Evaluate reports submitted by staff to determine if assessments are needed and report to the State of Indiana if applicable.
* Build relationships with residents and families, assisting them to identify and obtain needed services.
* Complete paperwork and suggest operational improvements.
* Manage the department's inventory within budget parameters.
* Plan staff meetings and trainings with the Life Enrichment Director.
* Act as resident advocate with third-party care providers.
* Develop and update Care Associate assignments and tasks.
* Organize and evaluate staff training programs.
* Interview and hire staff within budget guidelines.
* Maintain knowledge of emergency policies and update staff accordingly.
* Order supplies.
* Lead Wellness Chats with third-party providers.
* Conduct quarterly check-ins with Wellness team members.
* Facilitate blood pressure clinics and engage residents in proactive care.
* Participate in daily department meetings.
* Attend Resident Forums to share updates.
* Follow up on falls and conduct safety assessments.
* Coordinate returns and reassess service needs for residents on leave of absence.
* Manage Service Agreements to match care packages with residents' current needs.
* Support staff on the floor as needed.


General Working Conditions

This role requires standing for long periods, effective communication, and the ability to handle equipment and documents. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and travel may be required. The environment involves moderate noise and interaction with others.
