PDI & Quality Manager
HX7 / CW4 | Company Vehicle | Garage Equipment
Are you a quality-driven professional with strong technical knowledge and a passion for getting products right before they reach the customer? Our client is looking for a PDI & Quality Manager to lead their presale inspection and quality processes across a wide range of garage equipment.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee inspections, compliance, testing, and continuous improvement — ensuring every product meets regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technical & Training, you’ll work closely with multiple departments and manage an established PDI team.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and managing the PDI department, ensuring efficient and consistent operations
* Owning the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from a quality and compliance perspective
* Conducting product testing and collaborating with manufacturers on R&D and product improvements
* Managing CE marking and government approvals, ensuring full compliance
* Carrying out regular batch testing to maintain quality standards
* Providing technical input to sales, marketing, warranty, and supplier development teams
* Supporting sales and marketing with technical advice, specifications, and product recommendations
* Building strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and product managers
* Working closely with the Technical & Training department
* Creating, updating, and maintaining RAMS for new and existing products
* Developing and improving PDI processes and procedures
* Inspecting returned parts and equipment in line with warranty processes
* Managing quarantined stock and repair activities
* Supporting the wider business with additional duties as required
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in quality, inspection, or technical management
* Strong knowledge of a wide range of equipment (garage or industrial equipment preferred)
* Ability to commute between Head Office (HX7) and NDC (CW4)
* Experience working with or alongside a technical training function (desirable)
* Exceptional attention to detail — a forensic approach to accuracy and quality
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
* Confident team leader with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
