Neonatal Clinical Educator
Come and join our excellent Clinical Nurse Educator and Governance team for Children and Young People at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will deliver a comprehensive and ongoing training programme for all nursing staff through clinical teaching and providing specialist education.
They will ensure a comprehensive orientation and induction programme across the paediatric unit, underpinning evidence‑based practice.
Responsibilities
* Direct and indirect clinical care.
* Effective leadership.
* Providing education and support to colleagues relating to career development.
* Supporting changes in practice and education in line with best practice.
* Quality improvement work.
* Communicating across a complex team of staff.
* Support the existing Clinical Neonatal Nurse Educator team.
* Deliver education and study days.
* Develop plans to improve staff development.
* Promote consistency of guidance and nursing competencies.
* Provide mentorship and leadership.
* Work collaboratively with neonatal and paediatric educators within the ODN to provide staff with opportunities to access additional learning resources.
* Welcome students and new starters and ensure robust induction to the paediatric area.
* Plan and facilitate training days for the nursing teams.
* Present and teach using a sound teaching approach, utilising mixed media simulation and creating a positive learning environment.
* Work alongside staff and students to provide direct clinical-based teaching.
* Further develop own competence and ability to teach a wider range of skills to disseminate best practice.
* Review and update clinical competence in line with best practice.
* Respond to educational requirements that emerge from service need.
Qualifications
* Registered healthcare professional.
* Qualified in a speciality.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Teaching and assessing experience.
* NLS.
* Proven experience of team/department management and staff clinical supervision.
* Significant post‑registration experience to undertake the role as educator.
* Experience of research and/or audit.

Salary
£39,959 to £48,117 per annum pro rata.
