Principal / Associate Civil Engineer Location: Manchester Salary: £55,000£65,000 (DOE) benefits package (~£4,000) About the Role: A growing, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is expanding its brand-new Manchester office and is seeking an ambitious Principal or Associate Civil Engineer to join the team.

Youll join a supportive team that will fully back your development across a wide range of sectors, clients and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities: Take technical ownership of drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation.
Review, coordinate and support the work of other engineers and technicians.
Use Civil 3D, CAD and other analysis/design software, and help develop junior team members capability.
Analyse technical problems and develop practical, innovative engineering solutions.
Solve engineering challenges with a strong understanding of relevant design guides and standards.
Apply knowledge of CDM 2015 and designers responsibilities.
Contribute to internal engineering procedures and quality standards.
Identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility.
Conduct site visits, assessing constraints and supporting construction processes.
Lead and manage multidisciplinary project delivery, coordinating with clients and third parties.
Present and discuss technical solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Manage internal project tasks, including resource planning and financial control.
Prepare fee proposals, project budgets and cost estimates.
Support business development activities and help grow client relationships.
Take ownership of personal development and actively promote best practice within the team.
Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Requirements: Recent consultancy experience in the North West.
Masters degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (desirable).
Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
