Subsea Technician Location: Aberdeen Salary: £38k offshore uplift Contract: Full-time/Permanent Are you a controls technician ready to step into a new role? Are you keen to work on systems that drive real-world offshore operations? Then this sounds like a perfect role for you! Key Responsibilities Assemble and test electrical and hydraulic subsea equipment Diagnose and repair faults on subsea and topside systems Carry out electrical testing (IR, continuity, HV/LV, TDR, etc.) Perform hydraulic testing, flushing, and pressure testing Support offshore activities, including maintenance and testing scopes Conduct inspections, audits, and follow-up actions Produce clear technical reports and documentation Work in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) Collaborate with engineers and other technicians What We’re Looking For Practical, hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems Experience with subsea equipment (preferred) Ability to follow procedures and read engineering documentation Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn and develop new skills Qualifications & Experience Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience) Apprenticeship (preferred) Offshore experience (desirable) Certifications (Preferred) BOSIET Offshore medical If this sounds like a role for you, then please apply below or forward your CV to ahaddock@insignistalent.com!
