Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team to cover weekend hours.
In this role, you will provide essential support to an individual in her own home who has suffered a spinal injury. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, making a significant difference in her life.
Duties
* Assist client with ventilation and chest physio.
* Assist client with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individual with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help in the preparation and serving of meals, taking into account dietary requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Engage client in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Drive to various locations as required.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
Skills
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with client and team members.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining care records and using client's own computer systems and equipment.
* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with client, their family and other healthcare professionals.
* 6 months previous experience in a care setting is essential.
* Traci/Vent experience desirable but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is preferred.

Pay: £16.34-£17.88 per hour
Expected hours: 12.25 – 24.5 per week
