Our Structure
The Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property (FCSP) Directorate manages the agency’s financial and commercial activities, reporting on current performance, forecasting budgets, and working with stakeholders to shape financial strategies.
The role is within the Project & National Interest Case Finance Business Partner Team, which provides project finance advice to stakeholders and senior leaders across a growing project portfolio.
We are recruiting a Level 7 Apprenticeship Cost Centre Manager within the FCSP directorate. This is a rewarding role within an established team of finance professionals.
Alongside your role, you will complete a full Level 7 Accountancy Professional apprenticeship, including studying for the CIMA qualification, within a maximum of 36 months. The apprenticeship is fully funded, and we will consider applications from those who are partway through or have completed their studies. If you are too advanced in your studies, the role may be offered as a fully-funded non-apprenticeship position.
The post is full-time (36/37 hours per week), with part-time applications considered based on working hours and role demands.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in activities such as:
* Managing the General Ledger & Cost Centres, including posting accruals, adjustments, assessing VAT, and correcting journals.
* Handling Purchase Orders, maintaining a PO Tracker, and managing issues or closures.
* Providing reports for decision-making and presenting at stakeholder meetings.
* Managing budgets, forecasts, and spending reviews, including variance analysis and forecast updates.
* Supporting the Finance Business Partner during absences and building a network within the business area.
