Contractual hours: 37 hours per week, 29 weeks per year (0.7039 FTE). This post is term-time only, covering 29 weeks of the year.

Responsibilities
Inspire the next generation of accounting professionals in China. We are seeking a talented and motivated Lecturer in Accounting to join our international delivery team in Chengdu, China. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching within an established international partnership, helping students develop knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for successful careers in accounting and finance. You will:
* Deliver an engaging and innovative curriculum.
* Support students to achieve outstanding outcomes and progress to higher education or professional careers.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the accounting curriculum to ensure alignment with industry expectations and regional needs.
* May contribute to delivery at other international centres; teaching takes place over two semesters (Sept–Nov and Mar–May), totalling 24 weeks annually.
Our international programmes are part of the College's long-term ambition to expand global education partnerships and deliver exceptional learning experiences for students around the world.
Qualifications / What we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A degree in Accounting or a closely related subject
* Teaching experience, or the ability to deliver engaging learning in further or higher education
* A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
* The ability to adapt teaching approaches to an international learning environment
Due to current immigration regulations in China, applicants must be under 60 years of age.
What we offer
This international opportunity includes a generous package to support your time overseas:
* Competitive earnings up to £53,409 (pro rata) plus accommodation and expenses.
* Earnings include:
• Salary up to £42,509 (pro rata) including LAT Excellence Pay Point
• £6,900 overseas uplift (pro rata)
• £4,000 Golden Hello (£2,000 on appointment and £2,000 after successful completion of probation)
* On-site apartment accommodation
* Up to £320 per week expenses
* Paid visa
* Fully funded mobilisation and demobilisation flights, with airport transfers in China
* 55 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
* Membership of the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS)
* Opportunity to achieve a LAT Excellence Pay Point (currently £42,509) subject to eligibility
