Facilities Engineer

Stafford (ST16 – fully onsite role)

6 month contract

37 hours a week worked over 4 days! Mon - Thurs 6:45 am to 4:30 pm. Potential for overtime

Up to £21.62 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £29.34 (depending on experience)


We’re looking for a Facilities Engineer for a global supplier of world class engines in Stafford. The team are responsible for driving continuous improvement, construction and infrastructure projects across the facility. Facilities Engineer - Key Responsibilities

* Deliver facility building projects to deadlines, budget & quality + report key milestones to stakeholders
* Support and contribute to safety targets, revenue costs, quality, performance
* Develop clear project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with business and operational requirements
* Ensure project documentation is complete (scope, drawings, permits, RAMS)
* Support procurement activities, including contractor selection and technical evaluations
* Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Lead final inspections, snag lists, commissioning, and handover to operations


Facilities Engineer - Key skills & experience required

* Previous facilities experience within engineering/manufacturing or civils/construction – managing improvement projects and facility upgrades into a facility
* Experience leading projects / project management
* Understanding and knowledge of risk & safety and compliance requirements
* Experience of managing contractors and/or suppliers
* Desirable : IOSH Managing Safety certification, IPAF MEWP For Managers, FM Global Hot Works
