Training Lecturer – Plumbing (Part‑time, Fixed‑Term)

We have the opportunity for you to work with us part‑time on a fixed‑term contract up to July 2026 whilst you train as a Lecturer. This would mean you would be paid to work for us 2 days a week and keep earning in industry whilst you train.
Once you have successfully completed the initial teacher training then you would be able to progress to a Full Time Lecturer – Plumbing and join our team on a full time, permanent basis. The salary scale for the full time role is £26,514 – £27,923 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, this will be pro rated to 0.4 FTE.
The Role
Our Plumbing Department, based at our accessible Rush Green Campus, are preparing young people and adults across the Plumbing discipline to enter the workforce.
You’ll provide inspiration, skill, knowledge and practical experience to students across our department’s courses. You’ll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work
* Develop and implement learner‑centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
* Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
* Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
* Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression
* Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
* Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
