My client is seeking a Trailer Technician to join their engineering team at Heathrow. In this hands-on role, you will maintain and repair trailers and associated equipment, ensuring the highest operational and safety standards are met. This is a key position supporting safe, reliable and efficient airport operations. Key Responsibilities • Repair trailers and dollies as directed by the Workshop Supervisor • Carry out inspections both airside and in the workshop, reporting all defects before commencing repairs • Collect equipment for servicing and repair activities • Accurately complete jobs and inspections using SAP, including recording work completed and non-productive time • Keep the Workshop Supervisor informed of any additional work required, parts needed or defective items • Liaise with stores for parts supply, ensuring correct labelling and storage • Quarantine and report defective tooling or equipment immediately • Complete daily timesheets accurately and on time Outcomes and Performance Measures • Delivery of high-quality repair and maintenance work • Accurate, clear and timely completion of paperwork • Effective use of time recording systems • Full compliance with attendance, safety and operational standards Skills and Knowledge • Welding and fabrication experience desirable • Good analytical, numeracy and communication skills • Understanding of internal procedures and systems • Customer-focused with a strong service delivery mindset • General awareness of health and safety requirements Experience • Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or repair • Experience working in a customer-focused environment Qualifications • Welding qualification • Forklift licence desirable Personal Attributes • Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills • Professional, flexible and adaptable • Able to assess problems quickly and implement effective solutions
