As a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a vital role in design management on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in river and coastal engineering across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We provide engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. If you're passionate about this industry, we want to hear from you.
We have opportunities in our Epsom, Peterborough, Bristol, Exeter, Swansea, Birmingham, and Manchester offices.
Your Purpose:
* Deliver technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high quality.
* Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
* Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Manage project risks effectively.
* Maintain quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
* Chartered Civil Engineer.
* Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
* Knowledge of coastal defences, flood walls, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, and construction logistics.
* Familiarity with UK design standards and guidance.
* Ability to deliver traditional and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies.
* Commercial, contractual, and programme management experience.
