Location: Derby Adult Learning Service
This role provides a comprehensive, efficient administration service relating to examinations and accreditation within the Adult Learning, Employment and Skills Service to meet the needs of staff and learners in full compliance with JCQ and Awarding Body regulations.
You will be competent and proficient in the use of IT systems, databases and Office 365 software and apply these skills to manage the booking and delivery of a variety of examinations, including online based examinations.
You will be a confident manager to support a small team of exams-based staff, ensuring each exam is delivered to strict JCQ regulations. You will support staff with annual training and mentoring to ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with exam regulations, to include invigilators and administration staff.
An awareness of exam access arrangements would be beneficial to ensure exams are administered correctly in line with relevant regulations.
Ensure that learner records are kept in accordance with Data Protection regulations.
Manage and respond to any non-compliance or complaints, conducting full investigations and reporting issues to senior leaders.
An awareness of financial processes and regulations would be beneficial, as the role includes managing the ordering of, and financial processing of invoices for registrations and examinations.
This position is full time, based at our learning centre in Allenton and is not suitable for hybrid/remote working. Working hours are usually Monday-Friday to however, there will be very occasional evening (5pm-9pm) during peak exam times (typically in the summer term).
