About the Team
Our Customer Platform team is responsible for shaping, prioritising and delivering customer‑focused digital services that support the needs of our residents. Working in a multidisciplinary agile environment, the team collaborates closely with commissioning services, delivery leads and technical specialists to maximise the value delivered through our digital platforms, including CRM systems such as Dynamics 365 and Firmstep. The team is committed to continuously improving how we work, ensuring our products and services deliver measurable benefits and genuinely meet user and business needs.
About the Role
As a Product Owner within the Customer Platform team, you will act as the voice of the customer, helping to define, communicate and deliver the product vision. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, set priorities and ensure that digital services provide measurable value. In this role, you will define, own and maintain the product vision and roadmap, while creating, prioritising and refining the product backlog to maximise value. You will represent both user and business needs through well‑crafted user stories and acceptance criteria, and work alongside the development team throughout sprint planning, delivery and review to ensure clarity and alignment. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to maintain agreement on priorities, scope and outcomes, supporting release planning and ensuring products meet agreed quality standards. You will communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly and effectively to varied audiences throughout the delivery process.
Key Requirements
1. Ability to interpret and analyse complex business and user requirements and translate them into prioritised backlog items.
2. Experience working in an agile delivery environment with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex or sensitive information clearly.
4. Confidence in decision‑making, managing competing priorities and working under pressure.
5. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload and deadlines effectively.
6. Strong IT skills and experience working with digital platforms and services.
