Main duties of the job

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your responsibilities include supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator, maintaining a safe environment, reporting resident condition changes, assisting with supplies, and establishing community links.

Shift Details: 9.30 am - 5.30 pm

About the role

Your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing activities that promote residents' well-being. Other responsibilities include:

* Maintaining a safe environment and supporting the home's professional image.
* Reporting changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions.
* Assisting with supplies for activities.
* Building links with the community to promote intergenerational activities.


About you

To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. You must:

* Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
* Understand the importance of interaction in well-being.
* Have a positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to stimulating activities.
* Experience working with older people in a residential or dementia setting is preferred.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Effective communication skills, understanding of interaction's role in well-being, positive attitude towards older adults, and a commitment to quality activities. Experience in a residential dementia setting is preferred.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role is subject to a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, requiring disclosure submission for any criminal convictions.
