Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position involves assisting with daily living activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for this role.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support residents in daily activities, promoting independence and dignity
* Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or appointments
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
* Strong English language skills for effective communication
* Basic IT skills to manage documentation and use relevant software
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations
