We’re seeking a Forensic Toxicologist to support a busy, high-throughput laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical toxicology experience who thrives on technical problem-solving, instrumentation, and method development.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll contribute to the analysis of forensic samples, supporting investigations across a range of complex and sensitive cases. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory while driving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform analysis of forensic and toxicology samples
* Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
* Support method validation, development, and implementation
* Interpret data and contribute to technical reports
* Assist with sample preparation and extraction techniques (LLE, SPE)
* Monitor quality control trends and support investigations
* Contribute to continuous improvement and lab efficiency
* Support and mentor junior team members where required
About You
* Degree in a scientific discipline
* Experience working in an analytical/toxicology laboratory environment
* Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS and/or GC techniques (e.g. HS-GC-FID)
* Strong understanding of regulated laboratory standards (ISO/GLP/GMP)
* Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and analyse data
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
