Operating across flexible generation, battery storage, renewables and energy trading, the business plays a pivotal role in balancing the grid and making clean power accessible when it’s needed most. With a rapidly expanding portfolio, they have the potential to generate over 900MW of power.
They are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. To manage a range of sites in the Yorkshire area.
The Role
* Lead and develop a team of Operations Engineers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
* Oversee operation, maintenance and repair of flexible power generation assets.
* Prioritise health and safety for yourself, team, and site operations.
* Optimise plant availability, minimise downtime and support complex maintenance.
* Monitor performance, manage reporting and implement improvements.
* Coordinate with contractors, support site handovers and ensure compliance with policies.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements from you
* Good practical engineering experience (Gas / BESS etc)
* Hands on knowledge of plant maintenance
* Understand of large machinery from an operational perspective
* Experience in managing large operational power assets (Gas / BESS)
* Experience in managing a team of operations engineers
* UK Driving License Required
