The Blairgowrie Service supports adults to live a life which is supported and where people continue to have the level of independence they feel happy with in their lives. One day you could be out supporting to Tesco and supporting with cooking and cleaning in the home. The next you could be going for a nice walk by the Ericht, supporting someone to the cinema or on a holiday.
What is Relief?
As a Relief Support Practitioner, you do not have contracted hours. This provides flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that suit your availability.
Please note: Relief work is offered on an as and when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work, as the demand for relief staffing may vary over time.
Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.
