Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join our team. This role is pivotal in assisting clients with claims related to housing disrepair issues, ensuring they receive the support and compensation they deserve. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of housing law and tenant rights.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims from initial client contact through to resolution.
* Conduct thorough assessments of disrepair issues, gathering evidence and documentation to support claims.
* Liaise with clients, landlords, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth progression of cases.
* Prepare and submit legal documents and correspondence in accordance with relevant regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of all communications and case developments within the case management system.
* Provide clients with clear guidance on their rights and the claims process, ensuring they are informed at every stage.
* Stay updated on changes in housing legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and effective representation.
Requirements
* Must be a qualified solicitor.
* Previous experience in handling housing disrepair claims or a similar legal background is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of housing law, tenant rights, and relevant regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
