An exciting opportunity has arisen within Newport's Early Years Education and Inclusion Team for a passionate and experienced Teacher Adviser to support the delivery of high-quality early years education through the Flying Start program.
We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in early years education and a deep understanding of child development and inclusive practice. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Flying Start childcare settings to enhance provision, improve outcomes for children, and support the implementation of the principles of the Curriculum for Wales.
As a Teacher Adviser for Flying Start, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality early years provision across Newport. You will provide expert advice and guidance to childcare settings, helping practitioners create effective learning environments and deliver inclusive, high-standard early education. Working in close partnership with multi-agency teams, you will ensure consistency and continuity of support across all settings. A core part of the role involves enhancing practitioner skills through coaching, mentoring, and targeted professional development opportunities.
