ICT / Computer Science Teacher – SEN Specialist Setting
Location: Andover area | Start Date: ASAP | Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum
Are you a passionate ICT or Computer Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with autism and associated needs?
We’re seeking a dynamic, committed, and innovative educator to join a specialist day school for students aged 11–19. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where creativity, adaptability, and compassion are key.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging ICT and Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS4, up to GCSE level
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with special educational needs (SEN)
* Foster creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy
* Provide constructive feedback and support student progress
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants and therapists
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching ICT/Computer Science at KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom management and a flexible, student-centred approach
* A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement
* Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Leadership experience in curriculum development is a plus
