Manpower is currently seeking an interim SHE Capabilities Specialist - Digital to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, known for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This role offers an opportunity to be part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It is a full-time temporary role until 31/10/2026, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The compensation is competitive, up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The role offers a mix of remote and onsite work, subject to change based on business needs, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be part of the SHE capability expertise team Zero Harm to People, focusing on Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor and Construction Safety. The role involves owning the delivery of digital projects, managing digital products and solutions, and enhancing SHE capabilities and culture on sites and within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Ownership:
* Manage digital projects, solutions, and products within the expertise platform.
* Serve as the subject matter expert for these solutions and products.
* Monitor progress and delivery within the scope of the expertise platform.
* Learn and understand various digital systems used in SHE and Unilever, and manage their interactions.
Leadership:
* Ensure the delivery of solutions and products as per the plan.
* Coordinate and deliver training to users worldwide, providing guidance and support.
* Collaborate with SMEs to ensure solutions function correctly.
* Lead by example, promote safe behaviors, and foster a learning environment.
Strategy:
* Support the development of Digital Strategy and Architecture aligned with organizational goals.
* Assist in assessing digital needs through organizational analysis.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools through feedback and success metrics.
Continuous Improvement:
* Address issues, recommend improvements, and update solutions based on user feedback.
* Ensure solutions are user-friendly, fit for purpose, and current.
* Assist in revising functionalities and exploring new technologies.
Teamwork:
* Collaborate with SMEs and users to ensure solutions meet plans.
* Maintain relationships within SHE and other functions for smooth operations.
* Work effectively with stakeholders inside and outside SHE.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in data science, finance, engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Experience in SHE, engineering, or IT.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
* Experience in multicultural environments.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Proficiency with SHE management systems and tools.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Ability to collaborate across teams and sites.
* Safety training certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
