You will be part of the Step-up and Progress Hub / Mansfield Education Hub team that works within the Directorate of Health, Education and Wellbeing and will primarily be working with learners who have a range of barriers to learning including learners with Special educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those with previous barriers to education (some of whom may have previously been electively home educated).
You will plan, deliver and assess on a variety of accredited Entry and Level 1 programmes which focus on transition to independence, further study and work.
Experience of working with learners with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, learners with Education, Health and Care Plans and those with barriers to learning is preferred. You will be required to provide a supportive and professional environment that will promote the development of individual and groups of learners. You will be expected to be organised with excellent time management and administrative skills. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and show a flexible and professional attitude. Experience of delivering tutorial and digital skills is desirable but not essential.
You will ideally be educated to a minimum of level 3 and possess a relevant teaching/training qualification.
This post holds 828 delivery hours, per academic year (pro rata for part-time).

Responsibilities
2.1 Main Duties and Responsibilities
* To design and develop a programme(s) of study for a group(s) of learners on Step-up and Progress Hub / Mansfield Education hub (personal and social development) programmes.
* To deliver and assess a variety of modules on Step-up and Progress Hub / Mansfield Education hub programmes.
* To develop best practice in learning, teaching and assessment ensuring standardisation and continuity.
* To assess learners according to established guidelines.
* To develop part-time and full-time programmes.
* To design, develop and monitor resources for learner use.
* To act as personal tutor to a group/s of learners and co-ordinate tutorial support liaising with subject tutors. Provide accurate current feedback to managers, learners and parents as required.
* To keep up-to-date with curriculum initiatives, development of standards and general developmental and professional issues relating to the delivery of learning in your area.
* To implement quality procedures, contributing to thorough, evaluative programme reviews which feed into the self-assessment process.
* To complete documentation, appropriate records of learner performance and administration associated with role and responsibilities.
* To maintain appropriate standards of learner behaviour.
* To undergo continuous professional development.
