About the Role
We are currently seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to join an established and respected
Building Services Consultancy
based in
Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of
commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects .
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading electrical design work, managing projects, and mentoring junior engineers — with the support of a strong multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver electrical engineering design across multiple projects from concept to completion.
Produce and review detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications for power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems.
Manage client relationships and attend design and coordination meetings.
Work collaboratively with mechanical, sustainability, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements.
Support project bids and fee proposals where required.
About You
Degree qualified in
Electrical Engineering
or a related discipline.
Chartered or working towards
CEng
status (IET or equivalent).
Proven experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment.
Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards.
Proficient in relevant design software (e.g. Amtech, Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux).
Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
