The Role
As the AWS Architect, you will lead the end‑to‑end design and delivery of a scalable, secure, and highly connected research platform on AWS. This environment will empower teams to work with large, complex datasets and accelerate experimentation and insights.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and deliver a cloud‑native research platform on AWS
* Design environments supporting Jupyter Notebooks and Amazon SageMaker
* Integrate Amazon Bedrock and emerging AI services to enhance research workflows
* Build scalable data access and connectivity frameworks for structured and unstructured datasets
* Develop Model Context Protocol (MCP) services to enable seamless data and notebook integration
* Implement semantic search and discovery capabilities (e.g. OpenSearch)
* Define best practices across architecture, security, and scalability
* Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and research stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
* Deep, hands‑on AWS expertise (architect‑level with strong delivery experience)
* Proven track record building data science platforms or research environments
* Ability to design and expose APIs/services for data and notebook interoperability
* Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
Nice to Have
* Exposure to emerging AWS AI tools (e.g. Amazon Q, Trainium, Bedrock Agents)
* Experience with agentic AI or MCP‑compatible services
* Knowledge of OpenSearch or similar discovery tools
* Background in financial services, capital markets, or data‑heavy industries
