We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to join the Estates, Facilities & Capital Planning Directorate, reporting directly to the Head of Facilities for NHS Highland.
You should possess excellent leadership skills, professionalism, and vision, with awareness of national policy and direction. The role requires achieving mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhering to the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for departments including Catering, Portering, Security, Domestic, and Laundry, supporting quality patient care across the New Craig’s site. Responsibilities include operational, strategic, quality, and professional development of all functions.
Applicants must be trained to Degree level or equivalent, with at least 5 years of managerial experience in an acute setting or similar complex organization. A good understanding of all Facilities Service functions, budget management, and their importance in patient care is essential. Knowledge of social and political agendas related to healthcare provision, especially food and nutrition standards, is also required. Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Teams is necessary.
