A local authority in Kent is seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.
What you'll be doing:
Managing homelessness applications from first approach through to main duty decisions
Completing s184 decisions and updating Personal Housing Plans (PHPs)
Providing advice and prevention support to those at risk of homelessness
Handling a varied caseload efficiently and professionallyYou'll be required to work 2-3 days per week in the office, ensuring strong collaboration and support for service users.
What helps you stand out:
Previous experience working within a local authority housing team
Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and case management systemsPay rate: £27-28 per hour, depending on experience
Interviews will take place in the first week of January.
