The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement. About the role: At InPost Newstrade, you’ll build strong, inclusive partnerships with Publishers and Distributors through proactive account management that drives loyalty and growth. Working collaboratively across commercial and operational teams, you’ll ensure customer requirements are delivered to the highest standard while contributing to projects that enhance service and efficiency. What you’ll be doing: CUSTOMER: Explore opportunities to support sales, encouraging customers to use other InPost services and attract new customers to the InPost Group. To ensure that the required levels of activity are in place to continually achieve and exceed targets, guaranteeing customer satisfaction. Build and work to clear business plans that meet the priorities of both Menzies and the customer. All contact with customers should be courteous, professional and efficient, demonstrating a desire to exceed customer expectations and deliver excellent standards of service. Effectively prepare for internal & external meetings. Ensure agreed action points are circulated where appropriate. Build robust and effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Whilst the role is primarily Magazine focused, the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and support other business areas and customers as required. Process Management Provide completed reports to agreed deadlines internally & externally –including Distributor KPI’s, Commercial Update, ‘What If’ Scenarios and other ad hoc reports requested. Ensure internal/external communications requesting information or activity to be carried out are prioritised and actioned within agreed deadlines. Review Best Practice guidelines at agreed intervals with team and ensure updates are communicated to relevant internal/external contacts. Contribute to the development of new policies/strategies within the department. Recognise “blockages” in processes and workflows and propose solutions to resolve these. Measure, analyse and provide reporting on Publisher/Distributor focused business Key Performance Indicators. Provide support to General Manager for delivery of MD and Publisher/Distributor system and process development projects. Maintain regular contract/communication with MD operational teams to ensure key magazine business priorities are understood and key performance is being achieved or improvements made. We are ideally looking for someone who understands the Newstrade industry and has worked within Account Management. Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Business Objects and SAP. Knowledge of Newstrade industry, specifically Magazines. Experience in Account Management role. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders. Able to thrive in a team environment which is challenging but dynamic. Able to be flexible & work to strict deadlines to meet our Publishers & end Customer requirements. Organised, efficient with attention to detail. Sound knowledge and understanding of SAP functions relating to Magazine products. Willing to learn and undertake new tasks as requested by Magazine Channel Manager. Ability to work under pressure whilst using your initiative and make decisions on behalf of Magazine Channel Manager where required.
