Role Purpose
The Salesforce Configuration Specialist is the hands‑on technical owner of Verilocation’s Salesforce platform. The role ensures platform reliability, secure access, data quality, catalogue governance, accurate workflows, automation, integration stability, and strong user adoption. This position is central to creating a seamless, efficient and automated operational environment across Sales, Support, Operations, Finance and Field Services.
You will configure, optimise and maintain Salesforce, ensuring that end‑to‑end workflows—spanning quoting, order orchestration, case management, scheduling, service delivery and revenue processes—operate reliably, securely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Reliability, Security & Environment Governance
* Own the Salesforce security model (roles, profiles, permission sets, SSO, access reviews).
* Manage user lifecycle processes and ensure audit readiness (ISO27001 alignment).
* Monitor platform health, logs, workflow errors and integration status.
* Operate sandbox strategy, refresh cycles, change management and release processes.
* Triage incidents and coordinate root‑cause analysis for P1/P2 issues.
2. Configuration, Automation & Workflow Ownership
* Build, test and deploy automation (Flows, approvals, assignment rules, queues).
* Maintain Lightning Apps, page layouts, record types, list views and Experience Cloud configuration.
* Optimise routing, SLA logic, installation workflows, and service processes.
* Own the Salesforce Centre‑of‑Enablement backlog, sprint cadence and release documentation.
* Ensure changes follow governance, testing and impact assessment protocols.
3. Data Quality, Catalogue Governance & Compliance
* Maintain validation rules, duplicate rules, data hygiene and GDPR compliance.
* Govern product catalogue, bundles and pricebooks to ensure accuracy and reduce revenue risk.
* Ensure CRM → ERP data alignment across Mulesoft and NetSuite integrations.
* Maintain metadata documentation, field dictionaries and process documentation.
* Support Finance on revenue workflows, approvals and entitlement logic.
4. Integrations & Cross‑Platform Workflow Management
* Collaborate with SI partners on integrations with Mulesoft, NetSuite, Genesys, DocuSign and Skedulo.
* Translate business requirements into stable technical workflows across systems.
* Triage and manage integration error queues, exceptions and Level‑1/Level‑2 fixes.
* Support account, order, invoice, revenue schedule and status synchronisation.
* Establish monitoring and observability for critical integration flows.
5. Reporting, Operational Insight & User Enablement
* Build and maintain Salesforce dashboards for Sales, Support, Operations and Leadership.
* Maintain KPI definitions and ensure reporting consistency across teams.
* Deliver user training, release communications, guides and support materials.
* Run office hours and support champions in each department.
* Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) preparation and impact assessments.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
* 5+ years Salesforce Administration or configuration experience.
* Strong experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
* Exposure to Revenue Cloud/CPQ or willingness to develop expertise.
* Advanced Flow Builder skills (record‑triggered, scheduled, screen flows).
* Experience in multi‑system environments with API‑driven integrations.
* Strong understanding of UAT processes, change control and release governance.
* Demonstrable experience building dashboards and supporting reporting needs.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Advanced Administrator Certification (ADM211).
* Experience with Mulesoft, NetSuite, Skedulo, Genesys or DocuSign.
* Experience managing systems integrators or technical delivery partners.
